Ganpati Petrol Pump Inaugurated in Jirania, Ushering in New Hopes for Development

Agartala: May 25: After remaining non-operational for a long time, the Delhiwala Petrol Pump in Jaynagar, Jirania, was relaunched on Sunday under a new name—Ganpati Petrol Pump. The petrol pump has now come under the ownership of well-known Jirania-based businessman Gautam Pal.
The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of several dignitaries, with Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury formally opening the pump by lighting a ceremonial lamp and cutting the ribbon. Prominent attendees included Chief Whip of the State Legislative Assembly Kalyani Saha Roy, Mandal President Ranjit Roy Chowdhury, Jirania Municipality Chairperson Ratan Das, and several other respected members of the community.
The opening ceremony featured devotional chanting and sacred rituals to mark the auspicious occasion. As part of the event’s social responsibility initiative, a special program was organized to honor elderly women in the area. Gautam Pal personally handed out garments to senior mothers, expressing his respect and gratitude toward them.
Speaking to the media, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury highlighted the significance of the petrol pump’s reopening, stating, “With this petrol pump now functioning again, local residents will gain easier access to fuel services. Moreover, former employees will have the opportunity to return to work. This marks a positive development for the region.”
The reopening of Ganpati Petrol Pump was met with enthusiasm by the local population and business community. Many believe that this revival will play a vital role in boosting both economic and social growth in the Jirania region, serving as a symbol of progress and opportunity for the area.
