Agartala, May 7 — The successful execution of ‘Operation Sindoor’ by the Indian Army against terror bases in Pakistan has stirred a wave of pride and support across Tripura. The state’s Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha, praised the operation as a bold and necessary step in response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians.

Speaking on Wednesday, Dr. Saha said that the Indian Army, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has sent a strong and appropriate message to those who threaten the nation's peace and security. “The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where our fellow Indians were martyred, was a deeply painful moment for the nation. However, the swift and resolute response from Prime Minister Modi and our armed forces has made every Indian proud,” the Chief Minister stated.

He further added, “The skill, discipline, and bravery of the Indian Army deserve the highest appreciation. On behalf of the people of Tripura, I express my heartfelt gratitude to PM Modi and our soldiers for taking decisive action to safeguard the nation.”

Dr. Saha reiterated that Tripura stands firmly with the Indian Armed Forces and the central government in their efforts to combat terrorism and uphold India’s sovereignty. He also commended the armed forces for conducting the operation in a manner that avoided civilian casualties, demonstrating both precision and restraint.

As India remains on alert following the operation, the people of Tripura continue to express solidarity with the military and national leadership. Operation Sindoor is being seen not just as a strategic military move, but also as a reaffirmation of India’s determination to protect its citizens and uphold national security.
